Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

There is a desperate need to tackle oral disease, infection and chronic pain throughout the developing world - to enable people to work, attend school and care for families. We teach skills that mean local people are able to function free from pain, and avoid preventable infections and diseases.

Story

Hi

I will be running the London Marathon in April 2013 for Bridge2Aid, a charity that first came to my attention just over 4 years ago when I first started working for FMC (a dental publishing house). Over the years I have seen what a good cause it is and seen other girls and guys from my company contribute in the fundraising, so I feel it is now my time.

Bridge2Aid is the UK’s fastest growing UK dental charity working in developing nations.

More than 70% of the world's population have no access to the simplest of dental pain relief, leaving billions to face a daily battle with pain in the toughest of life circumstances.

Bridge2Aid was founded as a response to this terrifying problem, by providing access to dental pain relief and to help the millions of people suffering in the developing world.

I have always wanted to run the marathon so what better way than to do it whilst raising money for a worthy charity.

Thanks in advance for your donation.

Cheers

James
