Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

Hi everyone. My name is James and I've recently started a degree in Physics at the University of Warwick. I've always enjoyed hiking, having completed my silver D of E and a World Challenge expedition to Norway a year ago, and now Warwick RAG have given me an amazing opportunity to go to Peru and trek to Machu Picchu, one of the new seven wonders of the world.

This is in aid of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity that grants wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. A wish gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles of living with a serious condition. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 9,000 wishes to seriously ill children. I need to raise £2990 by the start of summer next year, half of which Make-A-Wish will use towards a wish.

This is a great challenge beyond anything I've done before and all for a great cause. Any donation would be hugely appreciated.

Thank You.
