I’m James, Pies, Piesy, Pow, Polish, Jimmy or plain old Daddy depending on who you are.

In July 2023 I will attempt the Lakeland 50. The plan here is to run 50 miles through (and up, and down I guess) the Lake District. This will be my first ‘ultra’ marathon and I have no idea how I will fare. My simple goal is to get to the finish line under my own force. Every ounce of me will try to get me there.

Yes, this is undoubtedly me fulfilling a personal goal but I am really really chuffed to be raising money for EPICKIDZ too.

Visit their website (link below) to see what they do -  supporting community causes, supporting young sportspeople, maintaining the wonderful Lake District and helping food banks (and my word do they need helping out in these times). They’re bloody great. 

If you can donate anything at all, it would be massively appreciated by me - but most of all by the many people who benefit from this wonderful charity. 

If you can’t donate, feel free to send me an abusive message about what a fool I am for thinking I’m in the same league as Kilian Jornet, Jack Kuenzle, Jasmin Paris etc. when I’m in fact a clapped out old dog (who loves running the hills like them, but slower) from Bradford.
