Story

Thank-You for taking the time to look at my page.

I don't really know how I've found myself here but I'm running the London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April 2012.

The story goes like this...

I was at a christening about a month ago and full of the joys of spring when my friend alerted me to the fact of a space in the London Marathon due to his collegues unfortunate injury. Stupidly I volunteered to participate if they couldnt find anyone else to run it. After a short deliberation period of 7-10 minutes, it became apparent that no one else would be crazy enough to run a marathon in a month and the place was mine...

After some sleepless nights, cold sweated nightmares and 2 weeks filming to clash with training my naivity turned into determination and it's on Sunday...

Am I scared?... DEFINITELY

Am I going to finish?... PROBABLY

Am I going to beat my last time?... UNLIKELY

But it is for a great cause! As a lot of you know, when I am not Acting I work in Perseid school for special needs children and am very proud to try and raise some money for the charity affiliated with the school.

Perseid School is an all age day school for learners with Severe Learning Difficulties. Many pupils have additional physical and sensory disabilities. The school also meets the needs of pupils with an additional diagnosis of autism.

http://webfronter.com/merton/stanns/index.shtml

Hopefully with your help I can reach my target and help the school to continue providing the best learning environment and sensory experiences to help these amazing pupils develop to their full potential and most of all, continue their smiles! Which keep me and the rest of the staff smiling everyday too. :-)

It really is a special place to work and it sounds cliche but every penny will help, and whats even better is I will see it help!

Enough of me waffling.... Wish me luck and if you are about on Sunday, Pleeeease come and cheer me on!!!!

All the best and thank-you,

James x
