The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

James is a 43 year old man with Autism and Complex Support Needs, who lives at Tarry Hill Residential Care home in the High Peak.

In May this year he is embarking on a 500 mile walk across Spain following the "El Camino de Santiago de Compostela" Pilgrim Route - hoping to complete this over a 5 week period, averaging 20 miles per day.

He will accompanied in this quest by 2 members of his support staff and his Father.

In 2009 James walked the Pennine Way (268 miles) and raised £1466.74 in sponsorship for the National Autistic Society - We hope this effort will be as successful!!!

We hope that lots of support will be forthcoming to support the event, and the work of NAS - to raise awareness of Autism and help individuals affected by it.
