7 of us at work have decided to put down our pens, put on some comfortable shoes and do a charity challenge thing called the 'Three Peaks Challenge'.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours. The Peaks are:

Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)

Scafell Pike, in England (978m)

Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)

Basically, its well hard.

I'm doing it for The Nottinghamshire And Lincolnshire Air Ambulance...

listen up now, here's why.

Last September my sister was kicked in the face by her horse (they have metal feet or summat). 'Cus it happened miles from anywhere and she was totally on her own I cant believe the story didn't end up a lot worse.

Luckily she managed to crawl in to the nearby road and a passing motorist saw her, stopped and called the Ambulance.

Within minutes the Air Ambulance arrived, landed in the next field and had her in the hospital where she underwent 8 hours of emergency surgery. I don't want to go in to too much detail, but as you can imagine, it was a bad one.

I think when it comes to charity stuff, services like this are some what overlooked and as they saved my sisters life I own 'em a lot right?! So ill do a silly big walk ok.

Please give some money for this. It means a hell of a lot to me and so many others.

Below are some words that tell you of their work...

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is a dedicated medical air service which first began operations in Lincolnshire in April 1994.

Based at RAF Waddington, south of Lincoln, and unaffected by road congestion, country roads, heavy vehicles or road works the Helicopter can reach any destination in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire in 19 minutes.

In the financial year 2007/2008 we flew 1104 missions and on 6th March 2008 completed our 10,000th mission.

Good right??
