Children in Crisis give children in some of the world’s poorest countries the education they need to help transform their lives.  By helping these children learn to read, write and think, it will assist them in pursuing their life goals and will contribute positively to their communities. Education is a proven route out of poverty and it is alarming that, based on current global statistics, 105 million 15-24 year olds lacked basic literacy skills in 2012, 55% of which will be women. Having enjoyed a privileged education in a safe environment free from wars and oppression, I would like to do what I can to help others who are less fortunate.
