Most of you looking at this page should know who I am but for those who have not the foggiest I am James Weaver and I am the Managing Director of two travel companies Lusso and Worldwide Escapes. This page is dedicated to the Just a Drop charity challenge that I have elected to undertake. At the start of January I attended the annual AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) conference and watched the above video and listened to a speech by Kelly Railton - Head of Fundraising for Just a Drop -  all about the incredible work they do all over the world bringing clean sustainable water supplies to those who need it most. This inspired me to play my part and try and raise a bit of money for this fantastic charity. In 2010 I undertook to run,bike and kayak the 105 miles from one coast of scotland to the other for the Naomi House Children’s Hospice and  given that anyone who sponsored was pleased that it was hard earned I needed to come up with something that was equal to if not more on the pain scale. Drum roll please…I am therefore taking on the World’s Largest Assault Course in May which comes in at 20 miles and 200 obstacles, some of which will be record breaking in their size and scale. Have a look at the links above and see what you think. I like to keep reasonably fit but like everyone allowed this to slip a little bit over recent years. Given that I spend many an hour sat at a desk and enjoy my food I allowed the collection of a bit of extra padding along the way. Therefore in order to even have a chance at completing this challenge I have set myself a pretty drastic training and diet plan which I will use this page to update you on as I go.
