It was my privilege in 2002 to command Gurkha soldiers during a tour to Kabul, Afghanistan.  C (Gurkha) Coy 2 PARA played a vital part in helping to secure the city from further violence.

In 2016 I was equally privileged to take the salute at the Attestation Parade in Pokhara, Nepal.  It was during this visit that I witnessed at first hand the incredible work of the GWT.  It is a wonderful charity which provides support to loyal Gurkha veterans who have given so much to our nation.
