Row 100: Oxford to Putney · 7 March 2013

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are Row 100; a group of 9 Dulwich College students who this summer will fight to conquer 100 miles of the River Thames in order to raise £10,000 for Parkinson’s UK.  Parkinson’s UK is a charity that focuses on providing support, campaigning and finding a cure for Parkinson’s, a disease that affects 127,000 people old and young in the UK alone. It is an incredible cause and we feel the money we raise will really make a difference to individuals and families affected by the disease.

On August 31 2013 we will begin our journey from Lincoln Boat Club Oxford, where we will prepare for the 100 mile challenge that lies ahead. We plan to row this distance between Oxford and Putney over 3 full days, rowing around 30-40 miles per day. To raise the maximum amount possible for our charity we will stay in various boat clubs on our route. 100 miles is no easy task, but we are determined to succeed.

We will end the row in Putney on the 3 of September, hopefully in one piece and with £10,000 for our cause.
