Next Saturday 2 July, I'm attempting the 10 Peaks Challenge. It's a non-stop hike/ run over the 10 highest peaks in The Lake District, covering 73 kilometres (45 miles) with 5,600 metres of ascent.
The 2010 event saw 52 people, including armed forces, adventure racers, triathletes, ultra distance and elite marathon runners take on the challenge. No one completed the course.
With good friends Ralph and Pete, we're attempting to be the first to complete the 10 Peaks Challenge.
Your money will be hugely useful, split between four projects dear to my heart.
Helping Homeless in London through 'Two Step'. The recession is leaving more and more homeless on the streets of London. Two Step is the homeless cause of Hope Worldwide set up by an old friend Toby Dodson in 1993, Two Step has re-housed 3,300 homeless people.
Another old friend Mark Templer, was doing voluntary work in India, 7 years ago he asked me and some friends whether we could help to keep open a home for old ladies in Kerala India who had been abandoned by their families.
Thirdly, a dear friend Becky Hill, set up Kupasa Banja, helping families in Zambia, ravaged by Aids. The money will go to the Chitabo family, where Dominic (81) and Mercy (78) are bringing up their 4 grandchildren Henry, Theresa, Mercy and Joseph, all orphans.

Money will be split between the three projects run by Hope Worldwide and the Macmillan Cancer Trust.
