Ending homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time. Every year, thanks to people like you, we support over 7,000 people in Scotland. We are there for people at every stage in their journey as we seek to prevent homelessness, intervene in crisis and sustain people in their own homes.

Story

UPDATED 14/9/09

I have completed the marathon with a personal time of 5 hours and 1 minute!!   THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

I was cautious with the leg on the day, so didn't have the pace to get 4 hours, but I ran all the way round so was happy with that!

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.  I really appreciate your support!

Bethany Christian Trust supports homelessness and vulnerable people in Scotland, and have recently been awarded Scottish Charity of the Year 2009!  Bethany is currently trying to reach even more people, by providing new shelter and support services in the north of Scotland.  Please help keep this endeavour alive and successful by parting with some of your hard-earned!

I hope to get a good result for your support, having been in training since May!   I know together we can get one thousand pounds for Bethany - please donate as much as you can, if not for my concerted effort to run the course in 4 hours then for these pathetic ailments that have resulted from the training:

Bad breath (yes, even more than usual!)
Rashes in dark, hairy places
Wobbly knees that cause me to buckle unexpectedly when walking to work (much to the amusement of passers-by)
A trainer full of blood (was impressive until it transpired the cut it came from was only 1mm long - how lame!)

Thank you again for supporting Bethany!

*Training Run update*
Although the week before I ran 25 miles without injury, the final training run ended in disaster! (cue incidental music).  After 17.5 miles I had to stop due to sharp pains across the top of my left foot and up my ankle.  I have been advised that my shoelaces may have been too tight - i.e. injury via stupidity!  Good news though:  the foot appears to have recovered so I will definitely be going for it this coming weekend!  I don't know if I will do 4 hours with the foot but if I make it to the end without walking I will be ecstatic!

Thank you to everyone for your financial and moral support - the response has been amazing and has made me all the more determined!
