I joined Capita just 5 months ago and have been working closely with Jacky Porter in Retrievals Support (RSF) providing ASW resources. As if recruiting in the nuclear sector wasn’t challenging enough, we have both decided to fly to 13’000Ft and JUMP!

After discussing which charity to support and having heard a touching story from a consultant in one of our supply chain companies, we both felt that the North West Air Ambulance was a great cause to donate to. We will be specifically supporting the ‘Pride of Cumbria’ helicopter.

 

Jacky was enthusiastic to support the Air Ambulance, as a friend of hers collapsed at the foot of Ben Nevis whilst attempting to do the “three peaks" challenge for charity. Although the Air Ambulance was unable to save him, friends who were with him spoke of the compassion and determination of the team who battled to save Pete.

 

The North West Air Ambulance provide emergency medical cover for the North of England, North Yorkshire and Cumbria an area of approximately 5500 square miles with a population of 3.5 million people, the Great North Air Ambulance has time and time again established the need for an Air Ambulance. It is our aim to provide the best quality of care to the people of our region.

Jacky and I will be free falling for a full 45 seconds and it would be great to think about all the money we have raised whilst we squeal with terror, so please do give generously.
