Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Cystic Fibrosis.

I decided to run the Bracknell Half Marathon as a personal challenge. I'm sure most of you are probably aware, this will definately be a struggle for me!

Just over a over a week ago I thought I was out of the Bracknell Half Marathon after having an accident badly cutting my left foot and ankle to the bone. 3 hospital trips, 10 stitches and a lot of blood loss later, I’ve been hobbling around on crutches hoping to make a recovery in time for the race.

Initially they said there was little chance in being able to take part which was really disappointing after all of the training I’ve been doing over the last few months.

Though yesterday I had my stitches out, and luckily it’s made a really good recovery, and as long as I take it easy I should be able to make it round.

So I am now back in the half marathon and hoping to finish in a decent time (before the marshals pack up and go home after 3 hours). It’s going to be pretty tough and painful as I’ve not been able to train recently and not run in 2 weeks, and still not sure if it will hold up through 13 miles but I’m going to give it a go! Wish me luck.
