Raising money for The British Red Cross Society

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.The British Red Cross Society, incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, is a charity registered in England and Wales (220949) and Scotland (SC037738). The owner of this page is raising money in trust on behalf of the British Red Cross, it is the page owners responsibility to ensure that the British Red Cross is able to channel any money raised for a specific appeal or stated purpose, prior to any fundraising taking place. I am taking part in the Stockton River Rate Race on August the 28th in aid of the British Red Cross.

The River Rat Race has been designed by the guys behind the legendary Rat Race Urban Adventure events, partnering with Stockton Borough Council. It is a 10+km jog or running journey along the banks of the Tees, interspersed with adventure activities based on, near (or in!) the Tees.

Sounds easy? Its a 10k run with 'Activities' (See my pictures for more info) such as Running up and down Newport Bridge, Swimming The Tees! Crawling through mud and much more still unknown like the 'Inflatable' Challenge.

Its for a great course and its a great challenge so dig deep and sponsor me! Its a tough challenge as it is especially for me, that in itself has got to be worth a little bit more =)
