Story
Together For Short Lives supports the families of children who are born with a life-limiting terminal illness, providing support during and after that childs life. This ensures that family have the best possible time together, no matter how short that may be.
At some stage we all think of having a family of our own, and many of my friends already have. But what if your child was born with a life threatening or life limiting terminal illness. Who would you turn to? We would all immediately expect to receive support of some kind from someone.
On Sunday 5th May 2013 I will be taking part in Tough Mudder for charity.
I have never done anything for charity myself before (and I won't lie, part of this was for my own health and fitness too), but I believe this to be a really worthy cause.
For those of you who don’t know, Tough Mudder is known as one of the worlds most extreme and hardest endurance challenges yet. It was designed by the Marines and Special Forces to train their own men - a 12mile run through water, mud, hills and 12 obstacles along the way. It looks like fun, but this is no joke.
It has / will cost me just over £250 of my own money to do the Tough Mudder challenge (not including training). On the basis part of the reason for doing this was for my own benefit, I would like to raise half of this (at least £125.00) to give to charity.
I BEG of you, please donate just £1 or even 10p by texting 70070 and enter UWVJ96 followed by the amount you would like to donate (for example text "UWVJ96 £1 to 70070). Or vist my page www.justgiving.com/Jamie-Leong
