In August I have the opportunity to put my body through an hour and a half (and the rest) of sheer enjoyment. Swimming through the clear waters of the London docks, cycling past the picturesque skyline of our beautiful capital and then limping home.
I have chosen to put my body through the pain to raise money for a charity that is close to me, my fiancée and even more so her family. When David Chant, Jo's granddad, was diagnosed with non-curable cancer in Autumn 2011 it naturally caused a great deal of distress for all concerned. On hand to make sure his last days were as comfortable as possible was Abbey Park in Coventry who specialise in end of life care. http://www.mha.org.uk/care-homes/care-homes/abbey-park
I am raising money for Abbey Park as I believe that everyone deserves the right to have a dignified end to their life , especially when illnesses like cancer takes over.
Any donations no matter how big or small would be fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to read this and most of all, WISH ME LUCK!!!
