There are thousands of sick children that pass through Gloucester Royal Hospital every year; these children need special equipment to improve their health and also need necessary teaching equipment to develop their learning skills. The Pied Piper Appeal provides this essential equipment not only at Gloucester Royal but also supports our county in providing equipment for sick or disabled children around Gloucester.

In addition, I'm going to take on the biggest challenge of my life: Cycling Bangkok to Gloucester! Traveling through Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey and then the home stretch through Europe to the UK.

At first thought, having no previous cycling experience I started to think that this challenge would be too much for me to conquer. However, having spent the first nine years of my life in and out of the Childrens Ward at Gloucester Royal Hospital, the Pied Piper Appeal really helped me get back on track. I feel I have a real purpose behind the journey and that's to support sick children who are in need of our help.
