Story

So somewhat naively I have signed up to run the Edinburgh Marathon this year. After lots of talk saying things like 'I'd like to run a marathon one day' or 'Everyone has got at least one marathon in them' I have finally signed up! And to make sure I can't back out at the last minute I am doing it for charity, running on behalf Macmillan Cancer Support.

I'm sure many of you have been affected by cancer at some point in your lives, whether directly as a patient or seeing a friend or family member suffer. Thanks to charities like Macmillan there is a fantastic amount of support available to those affected that can make cancer that little bit easier to cope with. But Macmillan can't do what they do without funding and that's where you come in. My target is to raise £750 but hopefully I can raise even more!

Running the marathon is definitely not going to be easy; the furthest I've run before is about 8 miles! So there is quite a bit of training to be done between now and the 27th May! So please please give what ever you can to help me reach my target and make all the grueling early morning runs worthwhile!
