Jamie's Blenheim 4-mile push page

Blenheim 4-mile push · 8 May 2016
As some of you may know, in 1998 I sustained a spinal cord injury which resulted in complete paralysis from my chest, and partial paralysis in my arms and hands.
At 19 years of age, facing the prospect of being reliant on a wheelchair for the rest of my life was not part of my life plan and as you can image took some getting used to for both myself and my family and friends. I was incredibly fortunate to have amazing support around me to help rebuild my life.
I have worked for the Spinal Injuries Association for the past 6 years, initially providing support to others newly affected by spinal cord injury, and laterally in a management role helping to shape the services we deliver.
I have seen first hand the difference SIA make to people in their darkest hour, the support we provide is truly life-changing. As a charity we rely on gifts and donations to enable us to deliver these invaluable services and I would be delighted if you would help us continue to rebuild lives after spinal cord injury.
