At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As many of you will know, Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease last year... Tom & I have decided to run Oblivion in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. http://www.mudrunner.co.uk/oblivion---29th-april-2012---event-details.html

Seeing his steady but rapid decline has been really upsetting, and I feel really strongly that if we'd been more aware of what Alzheimer's disease is and how it can be managed and treated, then we could have caught Dad's disease much sooner, and he wouldn't be in the sorry state he is in now. There's not much we can do for Dad at this stage, but we can help raise money for Alzheimer's disease research and support, and that's why we've chosen to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

Please donate - even £1 would be great. Don't forget to allow giftaid to be added to your donation. We'd be really happy if we could raise £500 by competition day.
