Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

With my good friend Karen Mizzi we are taking part in cycling 100 miles because at the time it seemed like a good idea....

I have been recently diagnosed with Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH). This is an inherited form of high cholesterol that can cause early heart attacks. There are thought to be 120,000 people in the UK with FH, however only about 20, 000 have been identified leaving 100, 000 at risk.

My 20 year old cousin tragically died leaving behind her young daughter and grieving families.
I also lost an uncle in his early 40’s due to a heart attack and my father had a debilitating stroke because of this awful
Disease.

Hopefully through raising awareness of FH we can identifiy people earlier and instigate preventative medicine.

I and members of my families did not choose to inherit FH, so please support me and spread the word.
