WHY DONATE?

I'm running two half marathons in 2013 to support two great charities. This Justgiving page supports the Countess of Chester Hospital Babygrow Appeal, to improve the neonatal facilities including resources for anxious parents. My daughter Bessie was born at the Countess in December 2007 weighing only 2lb 3oz (1.06 kilos). I am very grateful for the wonderful care she and I received which undoubtedly was a key factor in her survival. I'm running the Chester Half Marathon on 12 May to raise funds to help other babies like Bessie.

I have a separate Justgiving page for my second Half Marathon to support another great charity - the Chestnut Appeal which supports those with prostate cancer. My dad Bryan Chillery benefited from this charity before he died of the disease in December 2011. Dad ran the Plymouth Half Marathon a few times in aid of the Chestnut Appeal and my sister Mindy and I ran it in 2012 in his memory.  On 28 April 2013 we did it again!  Unbelievably we did it in EXACTLY the same time as in 2012 ... 2 hours 55 minutes!  There is still time to support the Chestnut Appeal, so please go to www.justgiving.com/Jan-Chillery-Belcher2013.
