Two years ago my previously well and fit 11yr old daughter became severely ill and after numerous GP visits was eventually referred to a paediatrician. This was followed by urgent investigations and the revelation that she had Crohn's Disease. However, the damage was already done and she is now on life-long treatment to try to stabilize her condition. As for all parents with sick children and  a life long condition, this was devastating. We have no family history of Crohns Disease, so where has it come from? For those families that do have a history, why should they be burdened with the worry that it could be passed to the next generation? It is very comforting to know there are people working on our behalf to find a cure and provide support..CICRA are essential for the future of all children and young adults whose quality of life is shattered by this dreadful and misunderstood condition.

Thank you so much for your support

Love and best wishes

Jan
