At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Whilst chatting with friends at the beginning of July I mentioned that I needed a challenge, a couple of them said they were walking the 3 peaks of Yorkshire on 26th August - that will do I thought! Umm, what have I let myself in for? It is 24 miles and the equivalent of Ben Nevis from sea level! Anyway from non-fitness I am now six weeks fitter and looking forward to the challenge.

The Alzheimers Society is a charity close to my heart, I am involved with the organisation of the Brentwood Memory Walk on 30th September. Locally the organisation runs various activity groups, lunch clubs etc, and they support the families of those with Alzheimers.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you would like to help the Alzheimers Society please dig deep and donate now.
