Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am planning to walk the West Highland Way at the beginning of April, in order to raise funds for the charity which supports my son Martin (now 23). Cosgrove Care supports people with autism and/or Learning Disabilities and does great work with children and adults. Like every other charity at this difficult time, new sources of funding are increasingly important, since funds from the council are less and less available.

Cosgrove have been a great support to Martin and to many others, supporting trips into the community, the development of social skills, independence and indeed, retail skills in Cosgrove's own shops. In addition, they run children's and adult summer activities every year, and also support some adults in their own accomodation.

I'm also going to get fit, and hopefully have a great time Walking all 95+ miles of the West Highland Way!! And to all you non-believers out there - I have already done a 10 mile training walk - last Saturday - in the fog!...and another one...3 weeks later....keep going...
