Story
I am running the 2010 London Marathon on behalf of Whizz-kidz, a great charity that provides customised mobility equipment for disabled children. Please help me to raise a minimum of £1,500 to support this great cause - if you help me reach or (hopefully!) exceed my target, these are some examples of where your money will go:
£1,500 raised will provide a buggy to allow a disabled child to become less reliant on others
£2,500 raised would pay for a sports wheelchair, to allow a disabled child to participate in sport
£5,900 is the average cost of a powered wheelchair
As many of you know, I only recently started running - currently able to run roughly 6 miles as of the start of January, so I need all the help I can get to get to marathon standard - the more money I raise, the more spurred on I will be! So please turn out your piggy banks, have a feel down the back of the sofa and donate now; its all very much appreciated, whatever the amount you give - Every little helps!
Jane
PS - Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
