<p>We are hoping to raise funds for a nine year old Peruvian boy called Ricardo, who needs urgent surgery to prevent losing his sight in one eye. The operation will cost £1,500 and is being arranged through a charity called MySmallHelp. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by Ricardo and his family, who have no hope that they will ever be able to save up for this expensive operation themselves. </p>
<p>We have now completed a 17 mile walk in Wiltshire as a family, and Jane has walked the 45 mile Test Way with her friend Rachel in very muddy conditions.</p>
<p>Thank you for all your donations and we hope to bring you good news soon about Ricardo's eyesight. </p>
<p>Update on Ricardo: Toby wrote him a letter and and it was delivered on foot by two volunteers. We have a lovely video of Ricardo thanking Toby for the letter. His medical file has been sent to an eye hospital in Lima, and one of the surgeons appears optimistic about a successful operation but asked for neurological tests to be carried out first. The charity is trying to arrange for this to be done on the same visit to Lima to avoid doubling the tranpsort costs. </p>
