Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and please don't laugh - I'm going to be silent for 12 hours on 12th November, 2011 from 9am to 9pm to raise funds for Omaleshe (Registered charity no SCO39501).

Some of you may know that this charity was set up following my sister's year+ spent in Namibia. The charity helps support orphans, vulnerable children, children affected by the HIV pandemic and children with Special Needs in Namibia through dancing and drumming. Dancing is an effective approach to dealing with grief and sorrow and is a way of building up confidence and self esteem. It is also used as an informal and non threatening approach to promote self protection and awareness of abuse.

Please help this amazing and successful work to continue by sponsoring me (and give the world a break from my voice).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
