Richard and Jane are walking the length of Hadrian's Wall over the next 3 months. We would like to sponsor the work of St Xaviers School in Southern India a unique school for India’s poorest children. The students, mainly Dalits, are all from backward communities and other marginalized groups. St. Xavier’s was founded by two Indian Jesuits called Father Eric and Father Maxim and currently educates 1000 children from 75 villages.
The school receives no financial aid from the Government so all associated running costs such as financing teachers’ salaries, buying uniform, books, food and providing a boarding hostel are paid for by private benefactors and charitable institutions such as Supporting Dalit Children.
