My daughter is emigrating to New Zealand and is not able to take her beloved Chinchillas with her.

After months of trying to find a suitable loving home for them, a friend who knew Raystede through visiting the centre and rescuing rabbits gave her their number.

Such a special place as Raystede had a long waiting list for taking more Chinchillas, so while moving house, with no room for her chinchillas and while waiting for a space for them at Raystede she had them looked after by friends, tragically Pedro was killed by a cat within a week and Belle now alone  after 12 years with her companion needed a new mate for company and a good safe caring place to stay.

Thankfully Raystede came to the rescue and agreed to take Belle in, we are all most grateful to them and the wonderful job they do looking after creatures not just unwanted but also -those like Belle who needed a home due to other circumstances, we encourage all our friends and family and readers of this story to donate to Raystedes as much or as little as they can in order for them to continue caring for these animals and birds, please give generously as they depend on donations to run Raystedes.
