Story
<p>I am going to do one of the worlds most iconic swims; the Hellespont the straits that divide Europe from Asia. I am following in the footsteps of Leander who swam to meet his lover Hero. Leander drowned. Lord Byron swam the Hellespont in 1 hour 10 minutes doing the breast stroke and with a club foot! I am part confident part cakking it but I am just going to go for it. I am swimming to raise funds for a small charity called AMAZE they offer help, support, advice and endless patience to carers of children who have many challenges to face. I feel very privileged that they are allowing me to raise money for them. Their funding is precarious and any donation you can give will be of tremendous benefit. So I'm hoping that the wonderful swimming fraternity, family, friends, colleagues and generous strangers will support this wonderful organisation. I'm also hoping I don't drown.</p>
