I consider myself very fortunate to have achieved my alloted three score years and ten despite a few hiccups along the way but sadly there are many who don't. Grief affects us all in different ways but how much more difficult is it for children who are deprived of a parent or sibling! Whilst their families and close friends are in the process of readjusting to life without their loved one, children embark on a rollercoaster of emotions. SeeSaw Support Workers are volunteers who are trained to help such children who are struggling to come to terms with their loss, to make sense of what has happened and to give them hope and confidence to face the future.
I feel priviledged to be a Support Worker and to be able to continue working with children and making use of so much experience gained over many years of teaching, and to be part of an amazing team of people from the Director and Trustees to the loyal band of fundraisers and envelope stuffers! But our involvement is not enough. SeeSaw is an independent charity which cannot exist without the understanding and generosity of people like you so I am taking this opportunity to ask you to make a donation, however small, it will be greatly appreciated.
