Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My main focus for fundraising on behalf of Compassion UK is also my drectorial debut! Rehearsals for the play are going well, and Lincoln actress and drama lecturer Lisa Gaughan is working hard with me as the big day approaches.
We're looking for lots of people to buy tickets for this funny, short one-woman play - it's a one night special, so don't miss your chance to see it! And bring your friends. Tickets for the 50-minute performance on Thursday, October 3rd are on sale now by phoning 01522 837600 or visiting the LPAC tbox office in person. Tickets are £10 & £8 concessions and £5 for students/under 26 yrs.
All the money from the performance will help to send my Compassion UK sponsored child to a special school for the remainder of her education. Gloria is from Uganda and is 11 years old. She has learning difficulties and needs extra help with, for example, reading and writing.
Life is difficult where Gloria lives: the average family income is only £5 per month and unemployment is high. Girls and women have few opportunities to provide for themselves and their families. Having a learning difficulty means that Gloria is more vulnerable than most and extra help with her learning could make all the difference to her future.
If you don't want to come to the play or you're not around that evening, you can still make a donation here. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please, if you can, please bless Gloria and donateyou sponsor! now or buy a ticket today for Sisters Under The Skin and have a jolly good time as you sponsor! Even the smallest donation will help to make a huge difference in her life.
Thank you!
