Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I am raising funds for S Yorks MS therapy Centre as I know it offers a valuable and appreciated service to local people who have Multiple Sclerosis. I was asked by a friend who uses the services offered there, and has found this to be a vital support, to raise money through sponsorship to help enable the MS centre to continue to support people. The Centre relies totally on donations to complement their own fundraising events. Their website is mstherapysyorks.co.uk if you would like to take a peek!
So..........I thought I should do something personally challenging, in fact the most challenging running event I have undertaken so far, if I am asking people to sponsor me. With this in mind I entered the Edale Skyline fell race, a hilly 21 mile circumnavigation of Edale in Derbyshire; my entry is now confimed so the training must start in earnest (when I get over this cold). So..........here we go.............
I will be running in a few events prior to the Skyline race on 27th March and will keep you updated. The first being the Tigger Tor fell race (almost 10 miles and a bit hilly) on Sunday 30 Jan. So far so good - managed a PB - knocked 4 mins off last years time!
So please dig deep and donate now.
Hi All. Have just completed my run - bit of a challenge, but then that was the idea. My time was 4hrs 20m, 10 minutes inside the time I was aiming for. V pleased about that! I even won a bottle of wine for my efforts as I was 2nd vet F50! And Paul will have to pay up as I was inside 4.30...........
Many thanks to those who sponsored me, and for support on the way round.
Cheers Janet
