Well, I've really done it this time. I've signed up to run the 2013 Virgin London Marathon with Team Mac. I am LITERALLY starting from scratch, you guys. I hate running. HATE it.

By April the 21st I will not only have to like it, I'll also have to do it for 26.2 miles. In one go.

WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! 

Macmillan is my charity of choice for many reasons. We all know the disgustingly high chance of any of us getting cancer. 1-in-3 at the last count...

My dad died of cancer when I was two and my mother came through it not so long ago, too. We all have intensely personal cancer stories and until we can stop those stories, we need Macmillan.

I want to help Macmillan make available a Macmillan nurse to every cancer sufferer and every cancer sufferer's family. I want to help Macmillan spread the word about their services, so people know they have somewhere to turn in the face of a cancer diagnosis. 

Macmillan relies entirely on donations to keep their services going. They're still not available in many areas of the country, it can be a 'postcode lottery' and I want to help change that.
