Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take the challenge of doing a BE80T event - for those that don't know this is a professional competition by British Eventing, which consists of a dressage test, show jumping and cross country course, all in one day. The Wobbleberries challenge is aimed at middle aged (ish) people, who are too frightened and perhaps should know better than to set themselves challenges such as competing at a BE80T event! So i'm not exactly hitting the middle aged requirement but mine and Duffy's lack of brave pants lately means we've been accepted for the challenge.

So the jumping part - we both quite enjoy! 80cm Cross country jumps however is rather daunting! Bearing in mind when it all goes wrong - last time saw us in a spectacular arse over ears tumble....luckily resulting in just bruises. Dressage - well this is going to be a real challenge since Duffy is about as excited at the prospect of dressage as I am! Usually it results in some extra fancy moves....bum flying through the air kind....that the judges don't really score you highly for ;)

So why now -  Angela Hardwick who is also taking part in this challenge told me I had to sign up! Also because it will help me push myself and Duffy, who's had a very easy life until now, whilst allowing me to raise money for the worthwhile cause of "Willberry Wonder Pony". This charity raises funds for bone cancer research and grants equine wishes to seriously ill people.
