We are the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Scleroderma and Raynaud’s. We exist to improve awareness and understanding of these conditions, to support those affected, and ultimately to find a cure.

Story

For those of you who knew Opkar, we're sure you will have your own special memories of him. For those that didn't, not only was he at the heart of his family - he was the heartbeat of it.

He bravely lived with Scleroderma, never complaining and always smiling.  At 41, he died leaving behind his young family.

In his memory, a number of family and friends have decided to participate in the Eastleigh 10k Run on Sunday 23rd March to raise funds for The Scleroderma Society which is a charity that not only supports sufferers of this little known illness but also helps to find a cure for it.

Amongst the "10k Team" will be

Opkar's wife - Amol

Opkar's mum - Premjit

Opkar's brother - Sundeep.

The other participant's include:

Surinder K Lakhpuri, Pavan Bhogal, Hardial S Lakhpuri, Himat Lakhpuri, Jinder, Gurpal Lakhpuri, Taj Sohal, Sukh Singh, Gajjan Singh, Raman Kaur, Suman Ranu, Manjit Ranu, Gobind Purewal, Harnek Purewal, Katrina Purewal, Arjun Purewal, Munraj Purewal, Sandy Atwal, Ajmer Khaira, Jeevan Khaira, Manjeev Pahal, Sammy Pahal as well as me.

Many of us have never participated in an event like this before, and are more likely to walk it than run it (!), but we hope we can rely on your support to help us through what will be a difficult challenge for us, not only physically, but emotionally too.
