Story

What can we say about Jasmine, she was a very happy little girl with an uplifting personality and an infectious laugh, her understanding of life and especially medical procedures was beyond her 7 years.

To give you all an insight into Jasmines life, it all started when she was 7 months old, we were advised she had liver disease and ended up needing a liver transplant which she then had at 14 months old on the 7th March 2005, the left lateral lobe was donated by Jasmine's daddy (Sohrab).

The following 24 months were fairly good until Jasmine started being sick and retaining fluid, she was sent to the Evelina Children's Hospital for tests summer 2007.

We ended up going back and forward for a few weeks then things took a turn for the worse and Jasmine ended up being kept in for 8 months, during this time she was being intravenously feed and had lost lots of weight, she was also on dialysis 4 times a week and was too unwell to even go home for christmas 2007.

We finally got home April 2008 and were still on dialysis 3 times a week, until she was eventually deemed strong enough to have a kidney transplant, this was done on the 14th October 2008, the kidney was donated by Jasmine's mummy (Cathie).

Since transplant she has not been away from the hospital for more than a month, with at least 16 admissions over the last 2 years.

As you can see from the picture she always had a smile.
