CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk 2017 · 9 July 2017 ·

Cardiac Risk in the Young Verified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845 (England & Wales), SC052581 (Scotland)
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

As most of you know we lost Jordan on the 21-12-14 he was only 19. Last year you all helped to raise money in Jordans name for CRY when we had a fantastic day, watching old men trying to play football.
The 8th July is Jordan's birthday and we still do what we can to make it special. It's hard trying to celebrate a birthday with a broken heart. So on the 9th July Leonie, Harry, Alfie and myself will be walking to raise money for CRY. If it wasn't for CRY then we would not have found out that Jordan's little brother has a heart condition.
We will walk over 12 bridges in London. 12 is the number of young people that die each week from heart problems. Jordan was fit and as far as we knew healthy but we are pretty sure he had a heart condition that we were unaware of. Big or small, please give what you can. This can happen to anyone at any time. Please help CRY to find out why this is happening. We have to live with never knowing why Jordan died and if walking over a few bridges helps to find out why this happens so often then that's what we will do. Please help
