Now that I have already secured my place I would like to use the opportunity to run and raise money on behalf of the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC).</span></p>

<p><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">NICFC is not only one of the nominated charities that my employer Schrader Electronics supports through staff fundraising events, they have also helped friends of Alison and myself cope when their child was diagnosed and treated for cancer not once but twice in the last 5 years. They have said that if it was not for the help and support NICFC provided they do not know how they would have got through it.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; font-size: 11.5pt;">NICFC support children, teenagers and young people living with cancer in Northern Ireland and their families. Every week three families will hear the devastating news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer. NICFC provides practical, emotional and financial support to these children and their families from the point of diagnosis, throughout treatment, in remission and in some cases, bereavement.</span></p>
