This year is the first (and most probably last!) time that i will be running in the race along the Ridgeway; it is a 85 mile long 5000 year old trackway from Ivinghoe Beacon, near Dunstable in Bedfordshire through the Chiltern Hills and North Wessex Downs, to Avebury in Wiltshire.

Starting out at 12:00 at Ivinghoe Beacon on Sat 28th Aug, all being well i aim to finish before 12:00 on Sun 29th Aug at Avebury; as if the 24 hour time limit is not enough of a challenge, there is the added difficulty of being over 9000 feet of ascent to deal with.
