This is a real challenge. I have never done anything like this before - the chance to make a real difference to many people’s lives. We are raising an astonishing amount of money for charities not only in this country but also in the Himalayas itself. This is taking me far outside my comfort zone not just physically but also in devoting time and energy away from my own life/business and into a world of fund raising.

Cancer affects a great many people, not only those who are unfortunate enough to have it but also those people around them and this is something that is close to my heart. In my own personal life I have been affected by Cancer and if in some small way I can help the fight against it then I can be proud of that.

Every penny is going to charity (details of the various charities are on the web page https://mounteverestsjp.wordpress.com) so all the training, flights and equipment are paid for by the team members themselves. 

We're trekking the south route, the same one taken by Sir Edmund Hillary. It’s the toughest route; no roads taking us part way! Don’t be fooled by the term 'Base Camp' either, the trek is over 120miles reaching the dizzy heights of 18,500 feet and takes three weeks!! I have been training hard, running, trekking in Keswick and of course... horse riding - if only I could bring Timmy up Everest with me, it would certainly save my legs!

There are a great many demands of us in our daily lives but I urge you to dig deep. This is an enormous challenge and I really need your help.
