My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My nephew Joshua was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 6 months old. Since being diagnosed (now age 6) he requires insulin injections throughout the day to regulate his blood sugar levels. The insulin is delivered via a pump and is administered as and when required, dependent on what he's eaten and the amount activity he's done. His parents have to check his sugar levels every two hours, each and every day; causing great strain and pressure.

The Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust is a registered charity and was formed in 1994. They are concerned with listening to the needs of people who live with diabetes, understanding those needs and doing their utmost to offer help and support. They not only want to help those who actually have diabetes but also their carers - the husbands, wives, partners and parents, or anyone who 'lives with diabetes'.

This is very important cause and one close to my heart. I'd appreciate any support you can offer, a small donation or even a few words of support.
