I'm raising money for Voice, an independent national charity committed to empowering children and young people in care and in need and campaigning for lasting change to improve their lives.

Last year, over 10,000 children in care were returned back to the home they had left. Over half of the children who entered care as a result of abuse or neglect suffered further abuse when they returned home and nearly half re-entered care. Even after there had been some concern, over 62% who returned home remained with a suspected abuser.

Voice’s role to provide them with as much information and support as we possibly can to ensure that their choices are informed.

Some of you will know my forner colleague at RLSB, Margaret McCulloch, who is now working for Voice.
