Story
On September 6th, I will be setting out on my challenge to cycle the entire length of Britain, a total of 969 miles. My journey will begin at Lands End and finish in John O’Groats 9 days later.
Why? Because I really enjoy riding my bike and it would be perfect if I can raise money for a good cause. This is the greatest challenge for me yet - never before have I ridden consistently for 9 days covering such mileage over such varied terrain.
I am raising money for Moyo Lesotho - it is about getting a generation of young people living with HIV onto treatment. We know that of 41,000 children and young people under 16 living with HIV in Lesotho, as many as 36,000 are not on ARVs. By raising money and using mobile technology, we can get more children tested and on treatment faster. The funds raised will be used to provide:
Transport: travel funds will be sent via mobile money, so children can travel to receive life-saving treatment
Testing: results will be sent via mobile getting children diagnosed and on treatment more quickly
Treatment: sending mobile clinics to rural areas and connecting them via mobile will bring life-saving care further and faster than ever before.
I’d really appreciate it if you could help me to reach my sponsorship target and give me the encouragement I desperately need.
