We provide specialist palliative care to people with life limiting illness
Story
I have never been a runner but I wanted to do something to repay the fantastic care that Willen Hospice provided to my Father in Law during his final weeks.
Gerald - (My Father in Law) was diagnosed with terminal cancer in May 2008 and passed away less than 5 weeks later in June 2008.
He spent his final 3 weeks in Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes where they provided amazing care to him.
Willen Hospice is only funded 25% by the NHS and has to find the rest through charitable donations hence my reason for running the Milton Keynes Half Marathon.
I'd appreciate any sponsorship you could provide as it will go to a very worthy cause!
Willen gives comfort, eases pain and reduces anxiety for patients and their loved ones. They get less than a quarter of funding from the NHS, the rest is donated or fundraised for by amazing supporters like you. Thank you so much – your support is needed now more than ever.
