Tengo la intención de estar en Paris el próximo 21 de Agosto de 2011 para participar en la 17ª Paris-Brest-Paris, la prueba ciclista que consiste en recorrer los 1.200 kilómetros que hay desde Paris a Brest y vuelta a Paris en menos de 90 horas.

 

Para poder estar en la salida previamente tendré que completar las Brevets, cuatro pruebas ciclistas en las que se cubren 200, 300, 400 y 600 kilómetros.

 

Este es el calendario de mi reto personal:

* 12 de Febrero de 2011 - Brevet 200km de Redhil Surrey (hecho goo.gl/fZhy5)

* 2 de Abril de 2011 - Brevet 300km de Chalfont St Peter (hecho goo.gl/Qv4Z8)

* 7 de Mayo de 2011 - Brevet 400km de The Hailsham (hecho goo.gl/CNruF)

* 21 de Mayo de 2011 - Brevet 600km de The Midhurst - Hay (hecho goo.gl/0mGx9)

 

* 21 de Agosto de 2011 - Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km 

 

Cada vez que he contado mis planes a alguien y me ha preguntado por el porqué he podido comprobar que el que me parezca divertido no parece ser una razón suficiente para justificar semejante locura. Es por ello que he decidido usar este reto personal para recaudar dinero para la investigación sobre el cancer, una enfermedad que ha afectado a mi familia y que seguramente también a la tuya. 

 

Yo voy a donar a Cancer Research UK una libra por cada 10 kilómetros que consiga en mi reto; te pido que contribuyas con tu donación y así me ayudes a que mi locura tenga sentido.

I have the intention of being in Paris next August 21st, 2011 to participate in the 17th Paris-Brest-Paris, a 1200km bicycle race from Paris to Brest and back to Paris in less than 90 hours.

 

In order to grant a position at the start I will have to complete the brevets, four cycling events riding for 200, 300, 400 and 600 kilometers.

 

This is my planned schedule for this personal challenge:

Every time I tell someone my plans I am asked "why?", and I have found out that "just fun" seems not to be a sufficient reason for such madness. That is why I decided to use this personal challenge to raise money for cancer research, a disease that has affected my family and probably yours too.

 

I'm going to donate to Cancer Research UK  a pound per each 10km I ride in my challenge; I'm asking you to make your donation and help me make sense of my folly.
