My story
On the 18th April we will be embarking on a little journey to ride bikes from London to Paris in just 4 days. In the process we will be trying to raise money for a fantastic childrens charity called Starlight Childrens Foundation. Starlight is small childrens charity which has a massive impact on the lives of seriously and teminally ill children and their families thoughout the UK. By granting once-in-a-lifetime wishes or providing entertainment for children in hospitals and hospices, Starlight aim to distract children from the pain, fear and isolation caused from the illnesses from which they are suffering.
The 3 of us have known each other since childhood, but the furthest we've ever ridden together is to school or over the park to kick a football around, so the prospect of 480km in 4 days is a little daunting!
The winter weather amongst other things has meant that our training for the event has been limited to the bare minimum, but we're hoping this may encourage one or two of you to sponsor us, safe in the knowledge that you know it is going to hurt loads!
So please, if you can, take time to sponsor us and we know that however big or small the donation, the money is going towards providing respite for very poorly children.
