Hi guys, well now that we have come down off our high from Sunday's run it's time to start getting sponsorship money in now. We are all very grateful for your generosity and we are looking forward to posting the final balance. We will get the special care baby unit to draw the Hilton Hotel prize once all sponsor money is in and we have a final total. Thanks again guys xxxxx

Updated on Mar 3rd 2012 at 10:30 PM from the JustGiving API Well not long to go guys please dig deep for this great cause xxx Training is going great so looking forward to the run now Hello all,   Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.   Just a little background of who we are and why we are doing this.   My friend Sarah and I are two busy, working mums with six children between us!! We both started running as a way to get some "ME" time but as time went on we enjoyed it so much that we started going out whenever we got any spare hour. We think we got (as it’s known) the "running bug".   We are both very competitive and felt the need to challenge ourselves so started entering local events as a way to keep the bug going but also to give us goals to work to. I myself come from a military background and have run many half marathons in my past but my friend Sarah has not. So for her 40th birthday she wanted to do her first and so we thought that it would be great to run for a charity close to our hearts.   We chose Whiston Hospital Special Care Baby Unit as Sarah's sister has had two children who have greatly benefitted from the unit's care and attention. In fact, Jack, one of the children who spent some weeks in special care, has his birthday on the day of the half marathon - we thought that this was fate and that we should run and raise loads of money for this fabulous place.   Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
